Earlier this year, SCEA and Sony Studios Japan released LocoRoco 2, an engaging puzzler where players controlled blobs with incredibly accessible controls through a variety of environments. By collecting fruit and timing your jumps, you could build a blob army and defeat the wicked Moja and Bui Bui who were seeking revenge against the LocoRoco. But perhaps you were able to defeat the challenges of LocoRoco 2 easily and wanted more of a challenge for your malleable musical friends. Look no further than LocoRoco Midnight Carnival, an incredibly tough game that will test your timing along with your patience.
The basic story behind Midnight Carnival takes place at midnight when everything on the LocoRoco world has fallen asleep. The Bui Bui, the evil versions of the LocoRoco's Mui Mui friends, have kidnapped the seven blobs and have thrown them into extremely challenging stages. It's up to the player to help the LocoRocos escape the different traps that the Bui Bui have placed in your way, collecting as much fruit as you can to increase your score. The plot isn't particularly strong and in many ways feels like an afterthought to solving the various puzzles that the Bui Bui have for you.

The Harvest Moon series of farming games has gradually grown a loyal following over the past decade, beginning with the series' inception on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Ten years and about 20 games later, publisher Natsume has brought its unique brand of life simulation to the PlayStation Portable, albeit with a slight twist. Instead of taking place on a rural farm that demands a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to grow and maintain, Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon takes place on an isolated island in the near future. The basic Harvest Moon formula remains intact, but it has been overly simplified, and as a result Innocent Life lacks much of the depth and character of previous games in the series.
