Xperia Play (Playstation Phone) Preview


Mobile Phone + Sony PSP =?.........TadaH!! The soon to be released Xperia Play a.k.a Playstation Phone. The release date is still unknown but for all the gadget geeks out there please be patient. The Playstation Phone spec's are different and its now packing more of a punch in the GPU department. It now reportedly benchmarks close to 60 fps on the android Neocore benchmark. This gadget is developed by Sony's Mobile division, Sony-Ericsson.


So what are its new features? 

-The screen is 4″ 854 x 480 and the running a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU with 1GHz snapdragon.
-Its sporting a 5mp camera with LED flash that can also record 720p HD video.
-It has a standard battery capacity of 1,500mAh.
However we are not sure as to whether or not it will play PS1 titles or PSP titles.

    playstation titels do work with the xperia play, since mine came with crash bandicoot for ps1, it has the playstation 1 splash screen u get from loading any ps1 game when you launch it, i havent looked into getting more for it yet, but il take a look tonight and post my results =)
