Bleach Heat the Soul 7 (JPN)

File Size: 402 MB
File Type: CSO
Tested on: 5.00 M33-6

This is truly a game for Bleach fans only. While other games in the Heat the Soul series have been fantastic fighters, HTS7 fails to live up to it's predecesors. I queston how so many falls can exist in a game that has so few new ideas in it. There have been almost no changes to your typical 1 on 1, 2 on 1, and 2 on 2 battles other than a less skillful AI and becoming over-powered while in it's hands. You will have many long fights where you will slowly chip away at the health of your opponent with combo after combo, only to be defeated in 3 attacks.

The story of this game is horribly short with the main story lasting only 25 battles, the anime exclusive (and endless) Muramasa Arc only contains a single battle, and then there is asecond version of story mode inwhich you fight the same battes for the other perspective.

The Game play is.... Heat the soul 6. There is really nothing more to say. The only changes are the new soul crush to break free from combos at the cost of spirit pressure, and a new "just block" system in which if you press back to block just as the attack is connecting with you, you will not only block it, but stumble your opponent. The new four player mode is your typical party battle where you can either be on a team or free for all, switching targets with the trigger buttons. It wors suprisingly well especially when compared with the rest of the game, its only short coming is that it takes the fairly linear fighter, into a 3D brawer.

Overall, If you have never played the Heat the Soul series, start with 6. Heat the soul 7 is for die hard Bleach fans only.
